#Top25of2016 GymJams #2: Gryffin. Heading Home. Featuring Josef Salvat. #GymJam #burn #lift #yoga

What We Said Then:

This spectacular new track comes from NYC producer Dan Griffith aka Gryffin and Australian rising star Josef Salvat. “Heading Home” is all sorts of amazing and deserves multiple spots on your pre, during and post workout playlists!

What We Say Now:

We can not believe the response and love for this track! Even today, it’s on multiple playlists, multiple times! If this isn’t a Power Song, I don’t know what is. First, the single version:

This spectacular new track comes from NYC producer Dan Griffith aka Gryffin and Australian rising star Josef Salvat. “Heading Home” is all sorts of amazing and deserves multiple spots on your pre, during and post workout playlists!

Then, the offical video came out, with some really nice extra vocal flourishes….

We jumped on Gryffin’s debut single “Heading Home” back in February, and now there’s finally an official, thought-provoking video for the EDM/pop track. Aussie Josef Salvat lends amazing vocals to a pounding, energetic track. The song is amazing, but when it all comes together at 1:31…it’s next level amazing.

Last but not least, there was a stunning acoustic version that put us in such a chill place.

Gryffin? Yup. Josef Salvat? Yup. Heading Home? For sure. Yoga? Definitely! The epic club banger “Heading Home” gets a passionate rework with minimal instrumentation by Gryffin, and beautiful vocals from Josef Salvat. If you’re done with yoga or warming up/cooling down, check out the original version here.

Be sure to also check out another terrific track from Gryffin and Bipolar Sunshine, “Whole Heart”!

#Top25of2016 GymJams #4: Eau Claire. All The Wonder. #GymJam #burn #indie

What We Said Then:

Washington DC DJ and producer Eau Claire released her debut EP today called ‘All The Wonder’. Tropical merged with some serious house vibes make this EP amazing. The worst part? Only 2 songs! WE WANT MORE! Get it today and add some awesome to your workout.

What We say Now:

We played this track to death this summer, and it still pops up on our burn playlist! Along with the other track on the ‘All The Wonder’ EP, “Room”, Eau Claire is making a name for herself as a remixer, producer and artist. Looking forward to what she comes up with in ’17!!!

#Top25of2016 GymJams #5: The Naked And Famous. Higher. #GymJam #lift

What We Said Then:

At long last, there’s new music from The Naked And Famous! One of our favorite New Zealand bands, who now call Los Angeles home, released the stunning “Higher” today. They performed it on a small, intimate club tour and it was fire then, it’s fire now. From their forthcoming album ‘Simple Forms’, due in October!

What We Say Now:

The day TNAF’s ‘Simple Forms’ was released was one of the best all year. A power-pop-anthem packed set, it also included “The Runners” and “Laid Low”. Capping off the year, this New Zealand band had a successful tour throughout the US.

#Top25of2016 GymJams #6: Chris Malinchak. Wonderful. #GymJams #burn #lift

What We Said Then:

The last time we were THIS obsessed with a song just happened to be when we heard “So Good To Me” back in 2013, which just so happens to also be by Chris Malinchak. On “Wonderful”, there’s no better reason to be happy than these simple vibes and exquisite vocals. Out now.

What We Say Now:

Unlike some EDM artists who strive for quantity over quality, each track Chris Malinchak releases is special. It’s only been around about a month, but we’ve put this track on almost all of our Lift and Burn playlists. Soulful vocals, a tropical vibe and a deep house beat? What’s not to love!

#Top25of2016 GymJams #7: Justin Timberlake. Can’t Stop The Feeling. #GymJam #burn #lift

What We Said Then:

Justin Timberlake is back and he wants you to ‘dance, dance, dance’. “Can’t Stop The Feeling” is a poppy, funky radio-friendly track that will definitely get your workout going. It’s a one-off track from the ‘Trolls’ soundtrack, but any new JT music is good!

What We Say Now:

If you’re only going to release one song this year, it might as well be awesomely epic…and that’s just what JT did. This Billboard Hot 100 chart topper hit # 1 in May, and even landed a spot on our Songs Of The Summer 2016 charts. We’ve been sweating to it ever since.

#Top25of2016 GymJams #8: Sigala. Say You Do. Featuring Imani and DJ Fresh. #GymJam #burn #lift

What We Said Then:

So far, Sigala has had 2 impressive tracks with “Easy Love” and “Sweet Lovin'”. Here’s #3! Tropical meets dubstep on the latest track from the up-and-coming UK producer. Beats by Sigala and DJ Fresh, brilliant vocals by Imani. And is that s ample of Mariah Carey’s “Always Be My Baby”?

What We Say Now:

2016 was the year Sigala broke through to mainstream success with 4 UK Top 10’s, including #1 with “Easy Love”. 2016 was also the year Imani Williams became a household name with this top 5 track, and her own “Don’t Need No Money”. They certainly chased away the winter blues in February with “Say You Do”.

#Top25of2016 GymJams #9: KOLAJ. Hitchhike. #GymJam #lift #burn #indie

What We Said Then:

KOLAJ is back with their new ‘euphorock’ single, “Hitchhike”. We’ve been fans of this band from day one with their infectious single “The Touch”, and have watched the duo grow and blossom. We can’t be any prouder to see what they’ve accomplished and where they’re going! “Hitchhike” is out now…perhaps an album or EP is following? Fingers crossed!

What We Say Now:

KOLAJ had a great 2015, as they landed on our Songs Of The Summer 2015 playlist and on our #Top25of2015 Countdown twice…for thier collab with Kaskade at #18 and “The Touch” at Number One!!! In Spetmber, we were treated to a video for “The Touch” that made our day for a month. We can’t wait to see what 2017 brings for these indie superstars.

#Top25of2016 GymJams #10: Sia. Cheap Thrills. #GymJam #burn #lift

What We Said Then:

Another stunning track from Sia’s ‘This Is Acting’ album. Even with the addition of Sean Paul’s dancehall verses (for the single version), it’s still one of the best tracks on the album. Hit the dancefloor!

What We Say Now:

This song was huge this year. Ever since the remixed version with Sean paul popped up in February, it’s been getting massive global airplay and tons of remixes. Just like the video says, it’s got a great beat and you can dance to it!

#Top25of2016 GymJams #11: Giorgio Moroder. Good For Me. Featuring Karen Harding. #GymJam #burn

What We Said Then:

2 of our favorite artists join on an amazing club jam. LEGEND Giorgio Moroder brings his immense production talent to the table, and diva vocalist Karen Harding serves up the vocals impeccably. Get this now, and power through your workout and say with “Good For Me”!

What We Say Now:

This song is AMAZE! We still get sweaty just thinking about it, let alone when it comes on during a long run. It has brightened up our workouts since we found it in Novemeber.

#Top25of2016 GymJams #12: The Chainsmokers. Closer. Featuring Halsey. #GymJam #lift

What We Said Then:

The Chainsmokers have FINALLY released a summer anthem! The slick, stuttering beats are only made better by vocals from Halsey. Get your gym on with this epic track.

What We Say Now:

Was still a great song of the summer, despite a few douchey interviews and upsetting Lady gaGa’s gazillions of fans with some shady tweets (even with variations on #TheChainsmokersIsOver trending for a time). They wrapped the year releasing ‘Collage’, an EP of mostly previously released material but one new track with exciting new artists XYLO.
